doodle on the table

You can write and draw on Alice Mahoney’s tabletop and whatever you have on that table surface can be transferred to a personal device. Named Drawn To The Table, this wooden tabletop can encourage family members to communicate in a personal and creative way.

Dip your finger, chopstick or any other cutlery-end in the digital ink on the table and you can write your messages or draw your pictures. Mealtimes will be fun and you can share the doodles with members who are not at the table by connecting the table to other screen-based electronic devices. Alice Mahoney collaborated with Julene Aguirre Bielschowsky and Cheng Guo on this project following a design brief given by Blackberry that questions how online and offline technologies can be used to complement each other.
