art showcase radisson brunei

by Sam Siren

The Radisson Hotel Brunei Darussalam invites the public and fellow art enthusiasts to the Radisson Art Showcase that is held from the 25th until the 28th of September 2013. The event is in conjunction with Radisson Hotel Responsibility Business Month with the collaboration Brunei Art Forum and support from Art@The Souq and Bruneions.com.

The showcase displays various artworks of different mediums from modern art, art deco to realism and illustrative contemporary works created by both local and resident artists in Brunei Darussalam.  The artists involved in the showcase are Ayunne Ahmad, Lisa Ahmad, Christina Nance Yong, Janet Jinadasa, Faizal Hamdan, Nabil Fikri, Winnie Cheng, Redzuan Rusli, Osman Mohammad, Sam Siren, Alwie Salleh, Redzuan and Afiq.

All artworks of the Radisson Art Showcase are available for purchase in which half of the proceeds of the artworks will be utilized for charity purposes by Radisson Hotel. This is part of Radisson’s Hotel corporate social responsibility and also an opportunity for the artists involved in the showcase, to aid those in need and a way for them to give back to the community through their artworks.

The showcase admission is free of charge and The Radisson Hotel Brunei Darussalam as well as Brunei Art Forum hopes that the event will be able to provide and create a foundation as well as inspire ideas for other artists as well as non-government sectors for charitable works through art. The showcase is also part of creating awareness of the various forms of artworks for the public to view and be inspired.

For further details and inquiries of the Radisson Showcase and the artworks on display please contact the Radisson Hotel Brunei Darussalam.
