British photographer, William Temple, will be showcasing his environmental portraits in an exhibition called 'Locale' at Kaleidoscope Gallery in Kiulap. The exhibition will take place from 1-6 June 2014 and will feature images of people and cultures from Africa, Middle East, South East Asia and the United Kingdom (UK).
Temple says: “I am excited to be able to exhibit my images in Brunei for the first time; Kaleidoscope is a great space to work with and I’m looking forward to sharing some of my favourite photographs of people and cultures I have experienced through my work.”
Temple, who is currently based in Brunei, has worked as a documentary photographer in Iraq, Ghana, East Timor, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. His photography captures the people, cultures and traditions of these countries. He has been living in Brunei for the past two years. Temple graduated with a Degree in Photography from the UK and has embarked on various projects on his own and with charity organisations from countries in Europe, Middle East and Asia. He also shoots primarily on film and has previously exhibited his works in the UK.
The exhibition is sponsored by Canon and Interhouse Company.
Kaleidoscope is an art studio that functions as a space for creation. The gallery aims to nurture and promote local visual arts and produce cutting edge contemporary art.
