Alliance Francaise will be holding screenings of French films during the week of 7th - 13th April 2012 around the Brunei capital during the French Film Festival. All this week, there are movies, a forum on film and a role-playing session somewhere along the lines of a crime scene investigation.
On the night of the 12th, Thursday, the public can participate in the role-play session at the Alliance Francaise and get a whiff of acting and crime-solving at the same time. The scene will be set in the 50’s - in a fastidious bourgeois house - at the conclusion of the burial of a family’s patriarch. Eight women who accompanied him in his life meet one last time before going on their own paths. But a morbid discovery has disturbed their gathering - one of them is found dead. Murdered. The remaining seven women are each carrying a secret. These secrets must be revealed to find the assassin, but who could it be? Participants can interrogate the suspects and investigate the clues to unravel the mystery in the hope of catching the murderer!
The whole week is primarily about films, some short, some long, and mostly award-winning or nominated at film festivals and competitions. Here a list of the films to be presented around town.
