Coffee@eG.InC

e-Government Innovation Center (eG.InC) will be hosting another intriguing knowledge sharing session, called the Coffee@eG.InC on ‘GAP Identification of IT Training’ specifically for practitioners. It will be held on Thursday, 26th June 2014 at the Institute for Leadership, Innovation and Advancement. The session will start at 2.00 pm in the Board Room, Third Floor, ILIA Building, Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

This sharing session shall be useful in the evaluation of the Brunei’s Vision of 2035, which is to create a dynamic, sustainable economy and the accomplishments of its well-educated and highly skilled people.The e-Government Innovation Centre (eG.InC) is being established as a distinct structure to work towards the goals of building ICT human capacities, as well as function as a forward-thinking and critical consultation center for Brunei Darussalam.


eG.InC was founded by Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) in collaboration with Prime Minister's Office and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) on the 4th of June 2011. eG.InC work towards proposing comprehensive recommendations for integrated and strategic directions towards developing a Public-Private Partnership to overcome current obstacles, and conducting research on the National Innovation System. eG.InC also facilitates and enhances links in research and collaboration between the government, industry, and academia, which are crucial to support the successful implementation of a smart society in Brunei Darussalam.


This time round, the Coffee@Eg.InC will be inviting various ICT companies located in Brunei-Muara District to discuss matters in relation to producing useful and relevant IT training programmes for practitioners. It is hoped that this session would help promote strong collaboration and networking between eG.InC and ICT companies in Brunei Darussalam; to share experiences, expertise and best practices. In this regard, it can ultimately leads to fostering the synergies among IT practitioners in producing innovative, dynamic and up-to-date products.
