green is not just for trees

Are you still refusing to turn green? If you are thinking of starting, you don’t have run out and buy a Prius this very minute.  You can start by making small changes like switching off the lights when you leave the room or re-use a plastic bag.  Small efforts, everyday by everyone will make a big difference.

This evergreen article from 2010 brought to the spotlight again is our way of saying eco-caring ideas are timeless. Many of our supermarkets and shops in Brunei have made a good move by not offering plastic carriers on weekends. If you find yourself using canvas or cloth bags during the weekdays as well, then pat yourself on the back for making that choice to care for your environment instead of just obliging simply because you don’t have a choice -“What to do? Supermarkets don’t supply plastic bags!” After you bring your groceries home, you can continue to work some green magic there too. There are many ideas suggested but if you can’t follow them all, then just pick a few for a start.  Children can be taught to start thinking about the carbon footprints they leave behind early.  Teach them a good move and they can use it for life.
