french film festival 2012

The annual French Film Festival in Brunei, organised by the Alliance Francaise de Brunei, will begin on 7th April 2012 and run for 7 days  till 13th April. This year, 9 notable French films will be screened at several venues around Bandar Seri Begawan: The Empire Hotel, Jerudong Park, Alliance Francaise, Jerudong International School, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, iCentre, Sayyidina Hussain School and Pusat Ehsan. The films are brought to the public free and movie screening times can be obtained from the Alliance Francaise de Brunei website and Facebook page.

The festival will also include a forum on "The Perception of French Cinema Abroad' by several eminent speakers and moderated by Dr. Wan Zawawi, which will be held at the UBD Senate Room on Wednesday, 11th April at 3.30 p.m.  Movie-buffs and aspiring actors can participate in "Enquête Policiére" - a CSI Investigation role play workshop - at the Alliance Francaise on Thursday 12th April at 7 p.m. The public is invited to 'catch the murderer'. To join the 'investigative team', book your place by filling up a registration form, downloadable from the Alliance Francaise website.
