Here's another vampire movie but take comfort, this one has no soppy love story. A witty horror fantasy set in the 1970's, Dark Shadows is another Depp-Burton collaboration also starring Helena Bonham-Carter. The trailer on MailOnline shows a cast that includes stars such as Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Green and Johnny Lee Miller, along with several others that look creepy, moody and like they are all harbouring a dark secret.
Johnny Depp plays Barnabas Collins, a rich philandering character who spurned the love of a witch Angelique, played by Eva Green and she turned him into a vampire and buried him alive. Two centuries later, Barnabas is released from his tomb and finds himself in an unfamiliar world of 1972 and back in his own house, now filled with his strange descendants. Barnabas will have to get to know the 70's and battle Angelique, who returns to haunt him and his new family. We are guessing some heads will roll.
Dark Shadows is due to be released in May 2012.
